Low Carbon Transformer
Automatic voltage regulator transformer (220/380 volts) with main device operations including
- Transformer Tap: Each tap changes voltage by about 1.25%.
- Transformer: Converts medium voltage (MV) to low voltage (LV) and adjusts output as needed.
- EcoTAP – Control Voltage: Sets and controls voltage levels.
- EcoTAP – On Load Tap Changer (OLTC): Maintains stable voltage based on EcoTAP signals.
- IoT Module: Monitors energy usage and transformer status, reducing electricity consumption by 5–20% and extending equipment lifespan.

Mr. Prajak Kittiratnavivat, Deputy Managing Director of Charoenchai Transformer Co., Ltd., received the National Innovation Award 2023 in the Gold Award category for Medium-Sized Enterprises in the Economic Sector. The award recognized the innovative project “BCG & Low Carbon Transformer”, presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sornnit Silatham, Chairman of the National Innovation Committee. The award ceremony was organized by the National Innovation Agency (Public Organization) and took place on October 5, 2023, at Royal Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon.
